Introduction to Pastel
Exploring the Possibilities of Soft Pastel in Artistic Expression
Lori Aylesworth’s beginning pastel workshop will include handling of the medium, use of different surfaces and techniques, composition and design elements, as well as discussion on color and color blending using soft pastel.
 This will be an indoor class. Students should come prepared with ideas or subjects to paint, be it their own drawing or concept, photo reference, or items for a still life set-up.

Lori Aylesworth has been involved in art since childhood. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN as a Fine Arts Major during her college years, and has been actively studying and creating art ever since. She started out with acrylics and oils, transitioned into watercolor, and now, soft pastel. Lori has participated in a variety of workshops, and continues to grow as an artist. She has shown at many regional art shows throughout the Northwest and has painted many commissioned works. As an artist, she is enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and getting to meet people that want to learn and grow.
